Make Do & Mend Exhibition – Now On!

The exhibition of young women’s work from our Make Do & Mend project is now on at the People’s History Museum! It will be displayed in the Accumulator Tower space until Tuesday 28th May so do go and take a look while you’ve got the chance – there are leaflets to take away and a visitors’ book to share your own comments and ideas in. Textile Workshop Leader Required

enJOY arts are seeking an experienced Textile Workshop Leader for ‘Make Do & Mend’ – a creative heritage project for young women aged 14 to 21, based in Manchester. The project will run from late October 2012 to March 2013, culminating in a celebration event for International Women’s Day. The project will be delivered in partnership with People’s History Museum and is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots Programme.

‘Make Do & Mend’ – Heritage Lottery Funding Success!

HLFHI_2747enJOY arts are delighted to announce that we have been awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots Programme for ‘Make Do & Mend’ – a young women’s creative heritage project, in partnership with the People’s History Museum!

We’ll be working with young women aged 14-21 from across Greater Manchester to explore the ways in which women have coped in times of austerity, using drama, craft and textile work. The project will culminate in a celebration event for International Women’s Day in March 2013, featuring an historical fashion show.
